Back in December when I took a trip to New York, make up shopping was a daily occurrence and something that I picked up which I must admit I didn't think I would love, was this Maybelline Color Sensational Elixir in Nude Illusion.
Having become a handbag essential for me, it goes without saying that I'm really surprised at how much I do love this product. The perfect subtle Nude shade carrying ever such a Peachy tone, it has become my go to to add a little something to my lips without overdoing it.
I must admit, I had hoped it would be more of a lip stain in terms of pigmentation and formula, but it's definitely more of a gloss, which is incredibly wearable for any occasion on its own or on top of a lipstick.
Super moisturising and creamy on the lips, Maybelline Color Sensational Elixirs are unfortunately only available to buy in the US in Ulta, Target and Walgreens at the moment, where they cost around the $8-$9 mark, although I have a sneaky suspicion that they will be landing in the UK soon!

I own Petal Plush and actually included it in a post today. I agree that they're advertised as more lacquer/stains but are definitely more gloss like upon application!

ReplyDeletePerfect! The shade looks like the contouring lip gloss I'm using. The specific color is Tender Beige that stimulates collagen production on the lips.

I love all the more neutral tones available in the US, I got an amazing Rimmel one in a similar shade that I've literally scraped the barrel of because I love it so much and you can't get it here. x
