The Best of Ole Henriksen

Ole Henriksen is a brand that I have been keen to try for a while now and this set of miniatures has been the absolute perfect opportunity to give the products a go.
The Best Of Ole Henriksen* contains seven products to meet all of the needs of your skincare regime and including pretty reasonable sizes it really does give you the chance to really get the most out of each of the products.

Just like with most sets of products, there is always going to be ones you prefer to use and ones you like slightly less but in this case, I have found there to definitely be more stand out products which is great. The products that this "Best of" set contains are:

Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser (Full size £26)
In terms of steps of skincare, if you was to use this set this as a whole routine, this product would come first, but unfortunately, I really didn't get on too well with it. It's said to be rich in Vitamin C and natural extracts that work to cleanse, strengthen, soothe and brighten the skin but I haven't been won over which is a shame. I'm not a fan of the scent nor the foaming formula and find that with it being quite watery, it's not easy to keep away from the eye area which led to me having super stinging and irritated eyes which is always a panic for me. I'm aware that it's not meant for the eye area anyway, but unfortunately it put me off somewhat.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster (Full size £47)
I particularly love the Truth Serum and have been using it within my skincare regime on most days over the past few months. It's a Citrus scented serum that works to hydrate and brighten the skin and although I must admit I haven't noticed any major changes in my skin, I really enjoy how such little product goes a long way and how soft this feels on my skin. I still have a fair bit of product left and although full size is pretty pricy, I do think I will probably repurchase it.

Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Gel (Full size £42)
The Night Gel has been a slight wonder product for me over the past couple of months and I love nothing more than including it in my skincare regime every couple of days. It's oil-free and includes Alpha Hydroxy Acids and ingredients which help to renew skin cells, minimise blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles as well as hydrate, soothe and smooth the skin. It's quite a light gel that smoothes on to the skin nicely and almost feels like it's drying on top of the skin at first. Again, I'm not too keen on the scent, but when I wake after using this, my skin looks luminous and feels very lovely.

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation (Full size £47)
Sheer Transformation is a product that is made up of Fruit Acids, Licorice, Pea Extract and Sugar, Chamomile and Vitamins C and E which in all work to fade any discolourations on the skin whilst nourishing and smoothing. If I'm honest, out of all of the products in the set, this is the one that I left to the side a little. I do have a few slight discolourations in my skin, but nothing I really want to completely banish and so haven't really been able to try this to an extent where I can give much of an opinion.

Ole Henriksen Fresh Start Eye Creme (Full size £31)
The Fresh Start Eye Creme is the winning product for me and I have already recommended it a fair few times to girls that are after a bright, fresh and smooth eye area. I have lightly dabbed a bit of this creme around my eye area every morning since receiving it and now nearing the bottom of the tub, I'm definitely going to purchase the full-size. It's made up of Avocado, Wheat Germ and Grape Seed Oil as well as Vitamins A and E and works to help protect the eye area as well as get rid of wrinkles and fine lines and I personally find it really refreshing and love how it really awakens my eye area up of a morning.

Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub (Full size £26)
I have really been into scrubs recently and this Walnut Complexion Scrub has been a lovely exfoliating treat. It includes Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Ginseng and Walnut Powder which teamed up works to soften, moisturise, and stimulate the skin whilst aiding cell renewal and I really like how my skin feels and looks after using it. There is quite a few beads running throughout it but it doesn't feel too harsh on the skin in the slightest. The only thing I'm not so keen on is both the quite rich and sickly scent and the appearance of the scrub. Other than that, I have found it lovely to use.

Ole Henriksen Truth To Go Wipes (Full size £15)
I stopped using face wipes a good while ago now, but I must admit these Truth To Go Wipes have been a lovely little surprise. There was only ten in the pack, but from the uses I had, I found them really pleasant to use. They smell amazing with a citrus scent similar to the Collagen Booster and left my skin feeling clean and really refreshed. With ingredients such as Vitamin C, Micro Algae and Green Tea they are supposed to be strong enough to remove make up and cleanse but light enough to ensure that the skin doesn't dry out. I didn't experience any harsh or drying effects from these wipes and I am definitely considering buying a full size pack of 30 for travel purposes.

Ole Henriksen offer a vast range of products and kits to suit all skin types and conditions and I'm really impressed with the quality and can't wait to try more.

This 7 piece discovery kit costs £29.50 which I think is so reasonable and is available to buy in store in John Lewis.

Have you tried anything from Ole Henriken? Do you have any recommendations?

  3. I have been in love with Ole Henriksen's products for a while now, and have bought the large jar of the Walnut scrub. I don't use it very often because I have sensitive skin, and find it can make my skin get very red and hot from too much irritation, but my skin always looks noticeably different, and feels much softer the morning after using it. I didn't even realize how many different and gorgeous products he had, looks like I've got some shopping to do! xx
