Over the past few months I have been trying to lay off as many hair products as possible, especially when it comes to styling products and I think both my scalp and my hair have been very thankful.
Last year, on and off I suffered with quite a tricky scalp which went through times of it being absolutely normal to sporadically dry and very sensitive. I wasn't sure what it was causing it but I have noticed that since laying off so many products, it has got substantially better. Starting back at work recently, it's inevitable that my hair (mainly my roots) is going to need a fair few products to style it and keep it big and out of my face so I'm trying to re-introduce products back into my routine slowly so I'm able to keep an eye on any irritations.
This Bumble and Bumble Tonic Lotion* has been quite a little dream and personally using it to soothe my scalp a little and to input some much needed moisture back into my recently coloured hair, I have found it a really nice product to use before blow-drying.
It's made up of Vitamins, Tea Tree Oil, Lemongrass, Rosemary and Peppermint and works "feed your hair" whilst soothing, refreshing and stimulating the scalp as well as detangling and replacing moisture to dry, coloured and coarse hair. I wouldn't say I personally have coarse hair, but dry and coloured I certainly do have and I whilst I haven't noticed any dramatic results, I personally can't find any faults with this product either and find it a pleasure to use.
A few spritz of Tonic Lotion into my hair after washing and conditioning leaves my scalp tingling and feeling refreshed and helps to untangle my hair massively, which since being coloured has become a lot drier and in turn, unfortunately a lot more of a struggle to brush through.
I find this is best to use when my hair has just been washed, but Bumble and Bumble also recommend that it can also be used to dampen hair as well as to reactivate any products already in your hair and to use as a cutting lotion, which is quite cool.
Bumble and Bumble Tonic costs £15 for 250ml/£5.50 for 50ml and is available to buy online and in Boots, Selfridges, John Lewis and Look Fantastic.

This sounds really lovely. I think Bumble & Bumble products are pretty over priced but I've not tried one yet, maybe they're worth it! x
