Never more aptly named, is Jo Malones newly launched London Rain Collection. Consisting of four fragrances, the limited edition collection by Master Perfumer Christine Nagel was influenced by the concept of a scented portrait of London, capturing romantic and deeply intense rainy days; through both the urban and nature scenes of the city.
Rain & Angelica* and White Jasmine & Mint* are both fragrances that had they not been Jo Malone, being far from my usual scent collection, would never have normally appealed to me but after just one spritz I was absolutely captivated and fell in love.
Never a more truer scent, they have both been created with the purest of notes, each of which come through perfectly.
Rain & Angelica was influenced by glassy beads of dew awakening a London park at dawn and with notes of Rain Accord, Angelica and Vetiver, it creates the most unique and inviting scent, so clear that it's almost indescribable.
White Jasmine & Mint is an incredibly fresh and clean scent, influenced by an afternoon cloudburst, drenching gardens exuberant with Jasmine, Lily, Orange Flower and Rose and refreshed with the dash of Wild Mint. Again, far from a scent I would normally go for, I've been spritzing this on of a morning and have received so many compliments, all with the question "Ooh, what is that?".
With notes of Fresh Mint Leaf, Heirloom Jasmine and Maté Leaf this is the most crisp and clear fragrance and each note pulls through on each spray.
Of course, with Jo Malones unique Fragrance Combining system, these fragrances can be teamed up with another fragrance to create something a little different and in this circumstance, Lime Basil & Mandarin is recommended with Rain & Angelica for a revitalising intriguing Citrus scent and Earl Grey & Cucumber with White Jasmine & Mint for an unexpected floral scent with accents of Bergamot and Mint.
With each fragrance costing £82 for 100ml, if you want to get your hands on one of these unique fragrances from the London Rain Collection, you can do so on Jo Malones online store now and in Selfridges, John Lewis and House of Fraser as of March.
Do these freshly scented fragrances appeal to you? Can you resist a beautiful Jo Malone bottle on your dresser?
These both sound so lovely (: x
