Whilst going through all my old make up, I realised that I had enough empties to qualify for back to mac again.
I haven't really had the urge to get any new MAC lipsticks recently- I thought I had all the the me shades and nothing else really appealed to me.
I tweeted what lipstick do I need and had a ton of replies recommending Hue. This is a lipstick that has been recommended to me so many times so I thought why not. When I got to the MAC store in Westfield Stratford, which may I add is the best and friendliest MAC store I have been in- Hue was the first lipstick I picked up. It was meant to be.
Why have I never owned this lipstick? Why have I never even swatched it?
Being a Satin/Matte kind of girl, I think the fact that its Glaze formula may have once put me off. I am so over that now because Hue is the perfect Pinky Nude lipstick for me.
Currently, it beats any nude in my collection and to say that is a big deal.
I am so over the moon and this seems to be all thats living on my lips at the moment.
It's quite moisturising too, which is a huge bonus because who wants a drying lipstick in this cold weather?

Im the same about the glaze formula. It seems really too sheer for me. I have hue and I do like it, but it's one of those lipsticks that I literally have to keep re-applying as it doesnt have much staying power. A lick of the lips and its a gonner! Haha, I really like MACs cremesheen as an alternative :)

This has to be my favourite nude by MAC! I have lost mine and am a little bit heartbroken. Like you though, I'm due a back to mac very soon and will be getting one of these little beauts! I love your blog btw, reading your blog actually inspired me to start my own! <3

Haven't tried hue as i feel it doesn't suit my paler skintone. Love rimmel's nude delight as it's more of a corally nude :)

Its just the lipstick, maybe two/three layers? I like it quite built up. It's lovely though, I'm not usually a fan of anything sheer or gloss but this is amazing! x

ReplyDeleteThe lipstick looks great on you, but your foundation is either too dark, or too thick, or both...
ReplyDeleteYou're right, my foundation is too dark my my natural skin tone, but to match my tan on my body it has to be unfortunately. I think the lightness of the lipstick makes it look a little darker.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of thickness, maybe it appears thicker on camera but its just a fuller coverage foundation like I usually go for.
