Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette

If you're a regular reader of Belles Boutique, then you may well remember a few weeks ago I blogged about a new Bobbi Brown Collection that I was extremely excited by, the Rich Chocolate Collection. Dedicated to neutral tones, it was always going to be a collection that appealed to me and having been using it for about a month now, I can honestly say the majority of the products have become daily favourites of mine.

I've recently decided to make a little more effort with my daily make up and over the past few weeks have found this Rich Chocolate Eye Palette* to be the perfect palette of eyeshadows, covering all bases for different looks. With seven shadows making up the palette (Bone- a matte off White, Cocoa- a warm Ash Brown, Stone- a medium Ash Brown, Frappe- a medium Ash Beige, Champagne Truffle Shimmer Wash- a warm Pink Beige, Caramel Sparkle- a Silver Brown sparkle and Rich Chocolate- a dark Burgundy Brown) covering a range of Brown tones in matte, shimmer and sparkle finishes, I think it's really well put together palette and is perfect for every day use, beginners and pros. 

The shades are all equally pigmented and complimentary of each other and although I tend to sway more towards Cocoa, Stone and Caramel Sparkle, they're all absolutely stunning and blend out beautifully. In terms of longevity I have mixed views; the majority of the time my chosen shades have stayed put for hours on end without any problems or creasing, but on the odd occasion, I've found them to fade somewhat, a lot quicker than normal. There doesn't seem to be a pattern of why this is, or what I am/am not doing on application, but I would recommend that you use an eye primer just to ensure maximum wear. 

I'm never normally a fan of the brushes or applicators that are included in amongst palettes and quite often find them a waste and would rather the price of the product be less and without the brush, but fortunately the dual ended shadow and liner brush that is included with the Rich Chocolate Eye Palette is really lovely to work with and definitely isn't one to be ignored and left unused. 

I'm such a fan of this palette and along with the Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Bittersweet*, it's currently taken top place in terms of my existing eye shadow collection.
