Mulberry Del Rey

Buying a Mulberry bag seems to have become somewhat a Christmas tradition for me and whilst in New York, in fact about thirty minutes before I left for the flight home, I popped into Mulberry on Spring Street and decided that the Mulberry Del Rey in Black Glossy Goat with Nickel had to be mine.

With a cheeky discount off of the original price tag, I couldn't part from this bag and so had it wrapped up without much hesitation and didn't look back. 

With the most stunning Nickel detail, I really couldn't be happier. My Oversized Taylor has Gold detailing which over the past year has proven to not go with much of my wardrobe, but this Silver toned detailing will go down a treat. As opposed to my Taylor, the Del Rey is also a lot lighter which is great and the timeless boxed shape sits just perfectly in the crook of your arm, making it perfect for an everyday bag.

The glossy Black smooth Goat skin Leather is a luxurious dream that I just know is going to age beautifully, inside the bag homes the classic Mulberry lined fabric, a zip and a slip pocket and the lovely Mulberry fob.

With it's overall timeless appearance aside, what makes the Del Rey perfect in my opinion is the little details; the chunky Nickel Zip with the delicate padlock fastening, the easy access front compartment with the classic Mulberry fastening and even the metal feet on the base, which both protects the leather to the fullest and adds the perfect finish. 

It's safe to say that the Mulberry Del Rey is my favourite item of my wardrobe and though I'm yet to take her out, I'm sure it will be an extremely joyous occasion.
