Dior Créme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm

Dior Créme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm* is a product that I must admit I have lusted after for quite a long time but never quite got around to picking up it for one reason or another.

Aesthetically, the packaging is a girls dream. Understated, feminine and honestly just beautiful to carry around in your handbag, the Dior Créme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm is one of those luxuries that you don't necessarily need to fork out on, but it is a lovely treat. The only downside for me, is that although I do love its simplicity, it is just plastic and for Christian Dior (and the £20 price tag) you'd hope that it had a little extra something about it.

Carrying a floral Rose note, this smells very grown up and is definitely one for you if you're into Rose scents. It does a beautiful job at hydrating, smoothing and softening your lips although I can't say I notice too much plumping, nor do I feel anything that normally resembles that the product has any plumping qualities.

It's become my go to lip balm that I apply throughout the day as well as at night time and find it has kept my lips as moisturised and free of chaps throughout the recent cold and windy days.

I had hoped that I would get a little bit of a Pinky tint to my lips after application, but unfortunately I don't get any colour pay off and it does just act as a pretty good, pretty packaged and pretty expensive lip balm.

Costing £20 for 7.2g of product, Dior Créme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm is available to buy at Dior stocklists and on Escentual.

  14. I bought this lip balm about four months ago because I thought I could use it at night. I LOVED the smell when I first got it but I didn't really think it was too moisturizing. I just only used it for the smell until I found another lip balm that made my lips a lot moister! Yesterday I saw Creme de Rose in my drawer and I decided to use it again because I missed the smell. YUCK! It smelled awful...like very sour and old perfume. I was so disappointed but I guess it wasn't meant to last longer then a month!

  19. This looks lovely! My lips are so sore from the weather I don't think they need any more plumping with them already being swollen!
