Over the past couple of months, I have non stop moaned about my hair. It has been in desperate need of a cut for a while now and while it's starting to get better now, the condition before treating it with some tender loving care was dull, weak and the split ends slightly unbearable.
I have heard so many things about this product, but always thought it was a little expensive for a hair oil. I have used hair oils in the past, but they always seemed to weigh my hair down, and I certainly didn't want to splurge £30 on something could potentially do the same.
Feel Unique very kindly offered me the chance to try a few of there products, and so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try it and asked if I could try the small sized Original Morrocan Oil*
I've been using this for a couple of months now and although now I absolutely love it, the first few applications were a little disappointing. In hindsight, I now realise I was either applying too much or too little and so just wasn't pleased with the effect. After trial and error, I now know that for my hair that I only need a small amount, slightly bigger than a 5p rubbed between my hands and then throughout the ends of my hair.
I like to focus on the mid-lengths to the ends of my hair, because whilst it's in desperate need of cutting- that's where needs the most care.
I apply this to towel tried hair because with soaking wet hair, this could drop out and I want it to sit on the hair and nourish it.
Whilst blow drying, I feel as if it's a lot easier, feeling less tangled and more manageable.
After blow drying my hair is so shiny and silky smooth. Not so much so that it's squeaky and too soft which I personally don't like, but glossy and so much more manageable. By no means does this oil weigh my hair down either which is a huge bonus.
I have applied this a couple of times to dry hair, in order to control my ends and it does work well but I do prefer it using it prior to blow-drying as I feel like thats a little more intensive.
It is an extremely tiny bottle, but if you have hair similar to mine (no longer or thicker) then you really won't need to use a lot of product each time.
The full size bottle is lovely, and as well as having more product I like that you get a pump rather than having to pour the product. I think using a pump could have potentially stopped me from having to go through trial and error process with deciding how much to use.
In terms of consistency, it's a thick oil rather than a thin watery one. I really like it as it's easy to control, but again, I would prefer it coming from a pump.
One negative with this product for me is the rich scent, I'm not super keen it and although it's barely there and I'm just being fussy, I prefer sweet smelling products. Although I don't love it, the scent isn't overwhelming in the slightest and doesn't smell on the hair, so don't let that factor put you off.
If you feel the same way as I did, then I really recommend trying the 25ml sized product just to make sure you like it, as I'm the first to admit that £30 on a hair product that you have never tried, is pretty steep.
I'm now a huge fan of this product and when this one comes to an end, I will be repurchasing it.
Both sizes of this are available on Feel Unique and cost £12.85 for the 25ml and £30.45 for the 100ml
Have you tried Morrocan Oil on your hair or are you tempted to try what seems to be such a popular product?
xx
so all in all would you say this is a really good product to try out because i was going to try it out?:) xxx
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this on my hair but I'm not sure about using an Oil, I'm intrigued by this product though!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a good product!! I currently use the VO5 miracle concentrate but might try this next... I think £12 for 25ml is an ok price to pay especially if you havent used it before. I like when a product comes in trial sizes! X
ReplyDeleteHmm, I think I'll pass this once because of the price and Im still a bit sceptical :) xx
ReplyDeleteI love my morrocan oil and swear by it - best purchase this year definitely.
ReplyDeleteI have thick, mid-length hair that can be a bit frizzy, a bit difficult to manage, and generally a bit of a nightmare! I bought morrocan oil as recommended by pearlsandpoodles.co.uk, and I will never look back.
Like you, I had a few trial-and-error goes the first few times I used it, but now I've pretty much sussed it and can definitely tell the difference. I bought the bigger bottle with the pump and it is very easy to use and dispense.
Overall - massively rate it!

This sounds lovely, but it seems so expensive! xxx
ReplyDeleteI plan to try this out together with a Maroccan Oil hair mask, because my hair is in a desperate need of a well working treatment (or a cut :/), but the prices are putting me off for the moment. I'll probably eventually give in to the vain part of my persona, but not without fighting it for a while :D.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound really good, I'm using macadamia oil at the moment which has done wonders to my very dry and brittle hair!

ReplyDeleteHope you don't mind, let me know if you do :) Also the review above is on a £4.13 version of Moroccan oil which works wonders!
