Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil

Over the past few months I have received quite a few compliments on my hair and I must admit, though I have had a couple of little trims, it does seem to be in much better condition recently and is a lot shinier and more manageable. I am constantly changing my routine in terms of shampoo and conditioner, but one product that has stuck for the past few months now is this Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil*.

When this first hit the shelves a few months back, they were extremely hard to get hold of as hair product junkies and Bumble and Bumble fans alike rushed to stores to get hold of this little Orange beauty. Hair oils are a must in a hair routine and although I do love the Ojon Rare Blend Oil and the Original Morrocan Oil, there is something about this one that keeps me reaching for this every time I wash my hair.

I do like that this is supposed to be worked into damp hair, whereas others I have tried in the past are more directed at dry hair. It suits my routine a lot more and also helps when blowdrying. Two to three pumps of this worked into the mid-length to the ends of my hair leaves it feeling so smooth and looking much shiner than it would had it not been applied. This is a silicone based oil, with its first ingredient being Dimethicone which isn't really ideal but it does help to make my hair super managable and smooth with incredible shine.

This oil doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy or weighty at all, but I do think if you used too much product then this could be a possibility. You really don't need to go overboard, any more than three on me would leave my hair too oiled up and that's not a pretty sight!

It smells really pleasant with quite a subtle sweet scent, which is a big bonus. I love using hair products that smell good, maybe that contributes to why I keep going back.

This Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil is £30 for 100ml of product, which I must admit does sound a little steep. I was quite taken back at how much it costs, but three months of using this  two to three times a week, I still have more than half left and with the results it gives I do think it's justified.

The good news is, that despite the name this product isn't just for hairdressers and you can pick one up at Bumble and Bumble online, Look Fantastic, Boots, John Lewis and Selfridges.

Toni & Guy Serum Drops

Every now and then I like to spoil my hair with a couple of drops of serum and since receiving these Toni & Guy Serum Drops* I have become hooked.

It's used to help prevent frizz and those horrid fly-aways and give your hair a high shine and gloss,
and that is exactly what is does.

All that's needed is two drops and your hair is glistened with shine and feels so smooth and glossy to the touch.
I find it's best used for when I'm wearing my hair straight, as although it calms my fly-aways it does make it so soft and glossy that it's best in a straight, simple and glossed style rather than up, as it falls quicker and is too soft to work with.

I personally use two drops of this on slightly damp hair like a hair oil, from the mid-lengths to the ends before I blow dry it, although judging by the directions for use, it is meant to be used on dry hair which to be fair, is how most serums are used. I probably shouldn't use it like this, but it works for me.
At just 30ml, it's a tiny enough bottle to carry around with you to smooth through your hair on the go although it is glass so possibly would be a little weighty for a on the go hair product.

I like how serums work in my hair and find this one also seals the ends of my hair pretty well (thank goodness!), but the downside to them is I find my hair does need washing quicker than what it would if I didn't use them. I also find occasionally, if I use them on my dry hair anything after after day one it doesn't look or feel as good so I tend to only use them to calm down my day one frizzy hair.

This product is a part of the Toni & Guy Glamour range and is available in Boots in store and online here for £7.19.

Do you use a serum to smooth through your hair?

Dove Hair Therapy- Nourishing Oil Care

I'm sure you're as aware as this as I am, but currently in the haircare world oil is everywhere.
In this case, we're talking Almond and Coconut oils and I am finding them an absolute treat.

I'll be honest, there is so many Shampoo and Conditioners available in drug stores and supermarkets and other than salon or hair stylist collections, I tend to pass them all by? I'm not a haircare snob in any way shape or form, but up until now there is so many of the cheaper options that I've never even given a thought about trying- well, more fool me!!

My mum picked up this Dove Hair Therapy Nourishing Oil Care shampoo on a little bit of a whim whilst it was on special offer in Sainsburys and so of course, when I noticed it in the bathroom cabinet, I decided to give it a go.
I am so thrilled with this product and cannot rave about it enough. It works a dream on my hair and for the past few weeks this has been my go to shampoo.

I mentioned that the ingredients include Almond and Coconut oils, which are said to rapidly absorb deeply into the hair to nourish and replenish. I'm not really sure whether or not the ingredients would help your hair long term, but short term this product leaves my hair feeling great and quite frankly this deserves a space in your bathroom.

I don't really like to use conditioner as it often makes my hair far too flyaway, but I find without it sometimes my hair is just that bit too dull.
Even though it does say it "smoothes up to 100% roughness and controls frizz, when using both shampoo and conditioner", with this product, I find it is just perfect and leaves my hair so lovely, clean and glossy with a nice softness to it without having to use any other product alongside it. I haven't tried the conditioner so can't comment on it, but to be honest with the results I already get I don't feel it's really necessary.
The smell of the product is pretty much the standard Shampoo fragrance, very pleasant and clean smelling which I like.

This retails at around the £2.65 mark for 250ml so you really really can't go wrong. It's currently on offer in Boots and Superdrug even cheaper, which is amazing.

With the super reasonable price and super results, I really cannot recommend that you try this enough.
I would love to know whether you have tried this already and what your thoughts are?

I hope you're well.

The Original Moroccan Oil

Over the past couple of months, I have non stop moaned about my hair. It has been in desperate need of a cut for a while now and while it's starting to get better now, the condition before treating it with some tender loving care was dull, weak and the split ends slightly unbearable.

I have heard so many things about this product, but always thought it was a little expensive for a hair oil. I have used hair oils in the past, but they always seemed to weigh my hair down, and I certainly didn't want to splurge £30 on something could potentially do the same.

Feel Unique very kindly offered me the chance to try a few of there products, and so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try it and asked if I could try the small sized Original Morrocan Oil*

I've been using this for a couple of months now and although now I absolutely love it, the first few applications were a little disappointing. In hindsight, I now realise I was either applying too much or too little and so just wasn't pleased with the effect. After trial and error, I now know that for my hair that I only need a small amount, slightly bigger than a 5p rubbed between my hands and then throughout the ends of my hair.

I like to focus on the mid-lengths to the ends of my hair, because whilst it's in desperate need of cutting- that's where needs the most care.
I apply this to towel tried hair because with soaking wet hair, this could drop out and I want it to sit on the hair and nourish it.
Whilst blow drying, I feel as if it's a lot easier, feeling less tangled and more manageable.
After blow drying my hair is so shiny and silky smooth. Not so much so that it's squeaky and too soft which I personally don't like, but glossy and so much more manageable. By no means does this oil weigh my hair down either which is a huge bonus.

I have applied this a couple of times to dry hair, in order to control my ends and it does work well but I do prefer it using it prior to blow-drying as I feel like thats a little more intensive.

It is an extremely tiny bottle, but if you have hair similar to mine (no longer or thicker) then you really won't need to use a lot of product each time.
The full size bottle is lovely, and as well as having more product I like that you get a pump rather than having to pour the product. I think using a pump could have potentially stopped me from having to go through trial and error process with deciding how much to use.
In terms of consistency, it's a thick oil rather than a thin watery one. I really like it as it's easy to control, but again, I would prefer it coming from a pump.

One negative with this product for me is the rich scent, I'm not super keen it and although it's barely there and I'm just being fussy, I prefer sweet smelling products. Although I don't love it, the scent isn't overwhelming in the slightest and doesn't smell on the hair, so don't let that factor put you off.

If you feel the same way as I did, then I really recommend trying the 25ml sized product just to make sure you like it, as I'm the first to admit that £30 on a hair product that you have never tried, is pretty steep.

I'm now a huge fan of this product and when this one comes to an end, I will be repurchasing it.

Both sizes of this are available on Feel Unique and cost £12.85 for the 25ml and £30.45 for the 100ml

Have you tried Morrocan Oil on your hair or are you tempted to try what seems to be such a popular product?
