Today I was invited over to the ghd studios in London to enjoy an afternoon of sweets and hair talk for the launch of ghds new Candy Collection and with a full display of pic'n'mix on offer whilst given the opportunity to learn some tricks of the trade, it was quite honestly a sweet dream.
Inspired by retro sweetshop favourites and shades from the SS13 Catwalks, ghd have created three new ghd IV Professional Stylers in three bright Candy shades. Mint, Yellow and Violet are all absolutely stunning and although I wasn't too sure on the Yellow at first, in real life it's an absolute dream and would make the perfect tool to use to brighten up your hair routine.
At the event, we were introduced to the products and after being taken through the three key hair trends for the season by the ghd education team, we were given a set of tools to play with at our very own station which was very cool.
60s Prom Queen, New Grunge Glamour and Hello Pretty definitely got our seal of approvals as we managed to recreate our takes on the styles ourselves, with of course, a trusty pair of ghds in hand. Braids, backcombing and twists of the barrel were going on all over the place and although I opted for a typical me casual Grunge Glamour look, some of the other girls looked absolutely fabulous and created the most beautifully put together styles that I can't wait to recreate myself.
I've said it before, I'm a massive fan of ghds and have been for years and years and love that they are so versatile. Though most commonly used as a straightener, so many other looks can be achieved with the rounded body, so whether you're after a subtle wave or a perfect curl, I always find ghds to be super easy and reliable.
I was very kindly gifted my favourite pair of Mint ghds, which I will be sure to review for you very soon. What's your favourite colour from the new collection?
The new Candy Collection is available to buy now and retail at £110 each.
Do you rely on a pair of ghds? Does this collection appeal to you?

ReplyDeleteUhhh that lilac hair is to die for. I wish I didn't have dark hair, as the roots would look horrendous, but I would totally rock that!
