I've always said that I don't really have a strict criteria when it comes to mascaras and as long as it meets my needs, whether it be length, curl or volume, in a fair way, then I've always been pleased. I suppose that other than when I have used mascaras made with horrific formulas, I have always found it slightly hard to determine the good from the bad. That was however, until I recently tried this Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara*, which has been an absolute dream to work with and gives me lashes like no other mascara has ever even come close to.
I first heard of this wonder product, when it was raved about by the Kardashians and if I'm honest, I decided that I needed it in my collection just because of that. Crazy, but true. Lancome gave me the opportunity to try it at the Bafta Suite that I attended at The Savoy and immediately I couldn't get enough.
The first thing that I noticed with this mascara, is how fresh it makes my eyes look and how light the formula is. When applied, it feels beautifully light on my lashes and doesn't dry out horribly after a days wear, which I find is a fantastic quality, especially when I get to the tired part of my day.
I've definitely grown into more of a fan of length as opposed to volume nowadays and I find that this Doll Eyes Mascara lengthens my lashes beautifully well without giving too much dramatic volume and really does help to lift them into a wide eyed look, as promised, with just one or two coats.
I personally don't like to go too heavy with my mascara and I'm so pleased with how this looks and how much it helps to open my eyes up with so little effort.
I've never really been one for high end mascaras and have often said I prefer drug store options, but this Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara has definitely won me over and I personally can't see myself straying from it for quite a while, which for a girl that up until now has pretty much used whatever was closest of a morning, is quite a big claim.
Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara costs £22 and is available online and at Lancome Counters in Debenhams, Selfridges, Boots and John Lewis.
Have you tried Doll Eyes? What do you look for in a mascara?
I caved in and started to use a sample that I have of this. I am so mad that I did because I LOVE IT! It thickens my lashes without clumping them together, and the non-waterproof version doesn't even smudge (which is rare for me since I have oily lids). I will be so sad when I'm done the sample because I just can't spend so much on mascara!
ReplyDeleteOooo looks like this one is a winner!

Sounds alright! I'm currently trying out the original Hypnose and I'm still not sure it's worth the money. It does last really well though. xx

ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about this mascara as well, I'm crusing on it big time. I love the brush looks like it would really coat and define every lash
ReplyDeleteI've tried the Lancome L'Extreme mascara, and I wasn't the biggest fan of it, so I wasn't really sure about the Hypnose Doll Eyes, but I think your post convinced me to try it! (:

I like light weight mascara too. They don't weigh lashes down. The brush head is unique.
