If you want your nails to dry quick and stay looking fabulously shiny and chip free for as long as possible, nearing the end of my second bottle now, the only product I could possibly recommend is Seche Vites Dry Fast Top Coat.
Previously to purchasing this top coat, I had heard so many raves surrounding Seche Vites Top Coat but had never purchased it down to my silly mentality that a top coat was just a top coat and well, I probably would have preferred to spend the money on a pretty nude. In hindsight I can see my sheer stupidity, as not a single polish has passed without me finishing with a coat of this on top.
Encouraging my nails to dry in super speedy time and coating them with a gel look shine and protecting my chosen polish, Seche Vite is an absolute dream to work with and quite frankly, I couldn't be without it.
Since introducing it into my nail regime, I have found I enjoy wearing nail polish a whole lot more. I don't know if thats because of the incredible shine you're left with after using it or the fact that it cuts the drying time down but what I do know is it's become a definite favourite product of mine.
I always purchase mine from Beauty Bay, where it costs £8.08 but it's also available from Boots, ASOS and Feel Unique.
Have you tried Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat? What's your favourite top coat?
I have wanted to try it for so long but never got around to it! really need to give it a go, seems to be a solid HG product

I think I may be one of the only people who hasn't been wowed by this! In terms of drying super quickly and giving an incredible shine then yes it's amazing. However when it comes to preventing my nail varnish from chipping this just doesn't really work for me :(

Thank you for the review & recommendation. I'm totally going to give this a try!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic product, I love mine :) I do worry about the health issues surrounding it though so I will probably look for an alternative once it runs out...that will be a sad day.

I love this top coat! It makes my nails look as though I have shellac on! :)

I'm sort of on the fence about this product - love the finish but hate the smell and gloopiness on application and am a bit scared about the ingredients!

Everyone always talks about this and I just never get round to purchasing it but I think I may have seen it in my local boots last week so the next time I pop in I must remember to sneak it into my basket! :P

I just recently heard about this nail polish & someone said it has a scary warning? Something along the lines of causing birth defects lol. I think I would still take the risk with the benefits it offers. ;) There's nothing I hate more than a top coat that adds no shine and just makes the nail feel thicker. Definitely going to look into buying this.

I want to try it but I am very skeptical of top coats. I have one that when I apply it makes the paint crack and it chips and comes off almost within 48 hours! I will probably have a look at some more reviews of this before I do anything :/ But you have convinced me to give them another go!

I used to use this religiously - it's pretty good. The only thing is it does go thick and gloopy after a while, but you can get another product (Seche Restore) to sort that out! At the moment I'm using a Revlon top coat but I might end up going back to Seche Vite as a tried and tested favourite!

I quite like this, but it makes my nail polish sort of shrink from the edges of my nail, which doesn't look pretty. I like the shine it adds and the gel-like consistency, but I hate that my polish STILL chips after a days' wear. :( Glad you like it though! x
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to try this, but there's always something I want more! I'm not brilliant with my nails, but I'm definitely going to get myself some of this and try a little harder with nail maintenance xx

Hi! I love Seche Vite so much I bought 2 bottles off Amazon for when I run out. They look like yours with the tall handle with the glossy black Seche design. My current Seche is shorter and has no design on the handle like here: http://www.seche.com/products/product-83005.html. Do you know if this their new packaging or something? I was concerned they were knockoffs :O Thanks!
