Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm- Plum Punch

Being as into lip products as I am, keeping my lips soft and hydrated is essential. Just like you wouldn't apply make up to an un-moisturised face, it's important to keep your lips in as good a condition as possible and for me, struggling with the dry conditions of heat and airconditioning at work, I need a balm that offers as good a treatment as possible.

New to Origins is a Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm* that made up of a team of nourishing and hydrating ingredients including Orange Peel Wax, Wheat Germ Extract and Aloe Vera to soothe dehydrated lips, works to soothe, nourish and boost lip moisture levels and retain hydration for 24 hours.

I'm really impressed with this balm and absolutely love how it feels on my lips. Similar to a gloss, it provides a high shine finish and although I must admit I was slightly apprehensive about the colour as 08 Plum Punch didn't look to be a shade I would want to wear all the time, especially throughout Summer, it is in fact a very subtle tint and on my lips, looks pretty much clear.

It feels quite light on the lips and isn't too sticky and worn alone or underneath a lipstick, even on top, it keeps your lips looking very supple and feeling ever so moisturised for a fairly long time. I'm not sure if one application would continue to keep your lips moisturised and soothed for 24 hours, as I continue to reapply my products throughout the day out of habit, but I certainly think this product works a treat at keeping my lips looking and feeling great for a more than substantial amount of time.

Available in eight different shades, theres plenty to choose from and after seeing a press release of the other shades, I'm really keen to try one of the lighter tones, Pink Guava.

Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm costs £16 for a 15ml tube and is available to buy both online and at Origins counters in Selfridges, John Lewis, House of Fraser and Boots.

What's your go to lip balm? Does this Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm sound like something your lips would love?

  1. I still need to try out some origins products! I'm not big on lip glosses especially since they're usually drying but that sounds really moisturizing and nice! :)
