I was recently invited along to a very lovely suite, where Remington were hosting an evening of delightful pampering, providing me with the chance to try their newest models in hair tools; the Silk range.
Often lusting for big, waved and voluminous hair it's safe to say I have tried a fair few hair tools over the past years, and thankfully I think I have found my perfect tool where style and longevity as well of ease of use are concerned.
With the digital display showing the temperatures of the tool, ranging from 120°-220°, my hair tightly and evenly twisted around the Silk Waving Wand* leaves me with the bounciest of ringlets, which once brushed out creates a lovely big wave that I've been wearing daily since receiving this wand.
My hair often struggles with holding any curled or waved style and on most occasions it falls out pretty quickly, but after styling my hair with this wand, my curls have been holding for up to three days after which is absolutely unheard of with my fine hair, unless it's been given an incredible amount of product and attention in a salon.
With it being the hottest barrelled tool on the market, I must say I was a tiny bit concerned for my hair, but the tool doesn't need too much time direct on the hair and it's adjustable meaning I can lower it for more damaged areas of my locks, in particular the front, which I wouldn't want so curled anyway. I'm really pleased with the look that this Silk Waving Wand provides, as well as how easy it is to use and really have found it perfect at providing the professional salon style look, that Remington claim that it gives, at home.
Costing £34.99, I think it carries a really nice price point and if like me you enjoy an effortless curl or wave then I really can't recommend this enough.
Available to buy in Boots, the Remington Silk range is also made up of a Silk Dryer, a Silk Curling Wand used for more spiral set curls and an Silk Ultimate Styler, which priced slightly higher works to create a range of different styles.
Have you tried any stylers from the Silk range? Do you like the look that I have achieved with the Silk Waving Wand?

ReplyDeleteI tried to curl my hair using a wand and it looked like a 5year old had done it - I think it's because I'm too used to the totem styler

Ok I definitely want this! I have their curling wand (the pink one) and am so pleased with how long the curls last but sometimes I want bigger more casual waves so this looks amazing. Thanks so much for this post!

Lovely Notions
Your hair looks lovely! I really like the shape of that wand and the type of curl it produces. I have a super-round wand, and it makes my hair look... awkward. Your curls look natural!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing for your hair, wonder if it would work for long hair though, mine tends to loose it's bounce because there's so much of it. Yours looks amazing though and I've always loved Remington stylers. xx
