Revlon Colourburst Matte Balms- Elusive, Complex and Mischievous

Since hearing of the launch of the new Revlon Balms over the grapevine, I've been so excited to see the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balms in real life and thankfully, they have not disappointed in the slightest, in fact, after trying just three I'm left wanting more.

Available in ten shades, I chose to try Elusive*, Complex* and Mischievous* and I'm so pleased that I did.
Each incredibly pigmented, which I must admit I wasn't expecting, the Matte Balms apply to the lips beautifully and surprisingly for drugstore matte products, with the Triple Butter Complex that they each hold made up up Shea, Mango and Coconut Butters, these aren't drying on the lips in the slightest.

Elusive is a Medium Pink that is super complimentary and easy to wear. It's the perfect go-to shade for a daytime look but I think it would work equally well for an evening.
Complex was the shade that being a nude tone I thought I would I would favour the most and although is is a beautiful Caramel shade, I personally don't find it as complimentary as the others. It washes me out a little bit, but I do think with the right make up, it would make the perfect product.
Mischievous is definitely my favourite of the three shades that I have tried and I just know that come Spring/Summer I'm going to be reaching for it a lot. A bright Coral Orange tone, it really is stunning and having a lot of these kinds of shades in my collection already, I'd say it's really comparable to a fair few MAC lipsticks that I own.

Long lasting, incredibly pigmented and creamy, I really can't fault these Revlon Colourburst Matte Balms in the slightest and think that they were definitely worth the wait.

Available to buy now, they cost £7.99 and are available to buy at Revlon counters in Boots and Superdrug.

Do any of these three shades stand out to you?

  11. I love the look of pretty much all of the colorburst balms & got my hands on Elusive - it's nice! I'm undecided as to whether Complex would be too pale a nude for me. They all look lovely on you though =)

  15. Elusive definitely seems to the blogger fave at the moment. I picked up this shade (as well as one or two more!) and it's been my go to work wear lip choice this week.

  20. Loving the way these look on the lips! Because they are matte I was worried that they would cling to dry patches but they do actually look really moisturising! Love them!
