REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

A few things I enjoy; good skin, fruity scents and face masks. Voila! This REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask* offers all three and more and has been my go to acid induced face mask for the past couple of months. After reading so many raves about it in the past, I'm pretty much kicking myself for not following the trend and trying it sooner.

Made up of Glycolic, Lactic, Citrus and Tartaric and infused with extracts such as Passionfruit, Grape, Pineapple and Lemon, I really can't get enough of how this both smells on the skin and leaves the skin feeling after 10 minutes of work weekly. I've recently become pretty obsessed with skincare, especially with products that have acidic components in the ingredients and my skin is thankfully so much happier since introducing them into my routine.

This mask, although it's pretty gooey and not the nicest texture I have ever worked with, is such a pleasure to use and after removing it from my skin with a muslin cloth, my skin is left exfoliated and looking really fresh and bright. I can't say I've noticed any change to my dare I say it, fine lines, I think they're there for good, but I feel as if it definitely keeps my skin looking a lot more radiant and is one of the products in my current routine that has worked to give me the confidence to go make up free more regularly.

Whilst this face mask is working its magic, I do experience a slight tingly sensation on the areas that it's applied, but that's completely normal with any product similar to this one and is nothing to worry about.

I'm really super impressed with this mask and every time I use it I'm pleased with the results. I have a feeling it's going to have a place within my ever changing skincare routine for a fairly long time.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask costs £30 and is available to buy online as well as in Look Fantastic, Space NK, John Lewis and Cult Beauty.

Have you tried this mask? I would love to know what your thoughts.

Sisley Express Flower Gel

I first became aware of this face mask when researching into products that would be great for my skin and would sit underneath my make up well, for flights at work. Lisa Eldridge mentioned it in her Long Haul Beauty Regime video last year and since hearing of it then, it seems to have popped up on my radar quite often.

This Sisley Express Flower Gel* is essentially a gel-like face mask that works to hydrate, tone and firm skin pretty beautifully in an extremely quick time. Applied before my make up, it absorbs into my skin within just a couple of minutes, leaving a perfectly firm, soft and hydrated base to work on.
It really does settle into my skin in a super speedy time and although in the directions it does say to blot to absorb any excess product after three minutes, I personally don't find I am left with much at all, if any by that time.

It's said to be a favourite amongst make up artists throughout Fashion Week, as it's a great quick prep to use on their models skin before make up application and I can believe it. I've been applying this to my skin on days when my skin needs that little bit of a boost and it does a great job at hydrating my skin and leaves it feeling super soft on days both with and without make up.

When I go back to flying everyday in the Summer months, I already know that this is going to be an essential for me, because on days where I am waking up at possibly 3am, I really don't want to be faffing about with a timely skincare regime. Absorbing so quickly and giving my skin the essential hydrating qualities it needs for a long flight, even underneath my make up, it will be a dream and with the Flower Gel working to get rid of any signs of fatigue and stress, it will see me perfectly for an average day in the sky.

At £74.50 for this 60ml bottle, this Sisley Face Mask isn't the most affordable product on the market, but I am completely sold on it. However, as much as I want to reach for it all the time at the moment, I may pop it to the back of my stash for now, until I go back to work.

This Sisley Express Flower Gel is available at Space NK, Selfridges, Liberty and John Lewis.

Does this quick absorbing, hydrating face mask appeal to you?

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Masque

It's been a whole month since I last posted about a face mask and I just want to assure you that I am still well and truly addicted and my obsession still continues.

One of the latest masques that I have treated my skin to is the La Roche-Posay Intense Masque* which is apart of La Roche-Posays Hydraphase range. It's intended for use on sensitive and dehydrated skin and after a busy week at work, that's what I tend to have to deal with.

This is a super moisturising masque and seems to be very similar to how the Origins Drink Up Intensive works, though rather than being marketed at an overnight product this is a quick 10 minute skin treatment that once applied to your face and neck area, sinks and disappears into your skin.

It's described as a gel-cream texture and I really like it. It's quite soft and gentle on application and just has a typical clean non-frangranced scent to it, in fact whilst typing this I have realised that it very much reminds me of the smell of e45 lotion which I used to apply all of the time when I was younger.

Although I mentioned that this is a 10 minute skin treatment, if I apply a generous amount like the instructions suggest, I do find that it does take longer than 10 minutes to fully sink in and then I end up wasting quite a lot of product, so I would suggest that if you do try this start with a smaller amount and build up gradually until you know how much you will need for a full application. After all, it is just a 50ml tube and if you're anything like me, you will probably want to hold on to your good products for as long as possible!

In comparison to the Origins Drink Up Intensive, which is really the only masque I have like this at the moment, I find it does leave my skin feeling a little greasier, though still extremely soft. Maybe that's because unlike Origins, it hasn't had a whole night to sink in. Really, that isn't a bad thing as it is aimed at dehydrated skin which may be need of this super moisture.

I think this products definitely worth a go if you have dehydrated, sensitive skin that doesn't like perfumed products and needs the love or if you're like me and just love a face treatment.

It's available to buy on La Roche-Posay online, Boots and pharmacies and costs £16.

Origins Clear Improvement Mask

I've become a little obsessed with face masks recently and so picked up a sample of this to try and work on my pores around my nose area and after using just half of the sample, I knew I had to purchase the full size.

This mask works at drawing out all of the bad stuff that has got lost deep in your pores, absorbing all of the bad toxins and dissolving impurities. It's not like other masks that I have used in the past where immediately on removal your skin feels beautifully radiant and glowing but it doesn't claim to do that, this product works to clear your skin out and that is by no means is that ever with immediate effect.
As nice as it would be, I think it's nice to see a product gradually working especially with daily factors and enviromental toxins adding all the time, it's nice to go to it once every few days rather than stripping your skin completely each time, which would more than likely overdo it and leave my skin worse than before.

I use this product maybe twice a week after having a hot bath and only on my nose, paying particular attention to around my nostril area. This is where I suffer mostly with clogged mores and to be honest, a few weeks on from using this I really do feel they are a lot more clear and the area is considerably less oily which is great.
There is of course still issues going on, but I'm hoping that with continual use of this they will be drawn out for good.

This clay based mask doesn't dry as quick or as hard as others I have tried, it feels a lot more comfortable and although theres still the fun cracking bit at the end it isn't as tight drying as others. On application it's smooth and pretty similar to a lotion and isn't hard to work with in the slightest. A little goes a long way and I really enjoy using it.

I'm really becoming so trusting in Origins products and if you suffer with clogged pores then this is definitely worth a go.

It costs £20 for 100ml, which I think is reasonable for the size and quality and is available at Origins counters or online here.

In terms of online shopping, I had a really good experience with Origins and would really recommend it, it was free delivery and although samples are available at counters, I got to choose five free good sized samples which I think is excellent.

Have you tried this mask? What works best for your pores?

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

I completely fell for the hype surrounding this product in the blogging world and made a cheeky little purchase about a month ago now.

I'm currently going through a bit of a face mask obsession but this by far, is my favourite in terms of how it works and what it aims to do.

Although my skin is rather troubled at the moment (I'm not sure why) I don't have particularly dry skin, which is really what this product is aimed towards. However, this does work perfectly at rehydrating my skin after a long flight and for that, Origins- you are amazing!
Every flight I do, I try to make sure that I drink at least 1.5 litres of water, but even that doesn't stop my skin from feeling dehydrated and dull the following morning.
As soon as I get in and remove my make up, I apply this and get to bed ready for this to work its magic.
In the directions, it says to use it twice a week or as desired, and I use this after days that I work, as they're the only days where my skin and body really needs super replenishment.

It works overnight and sinks into your skin through the hours to quench and moisturise intensively. Although you are supposed to apply this right before bed, that isn't very practical for me as I tend to find it a little awkward and don't want it on my pillow, so I leave it about an hour for it to sink it a little bit and then go to bed.
In the morning, my skin feels incredibly soft and hydrated. I really love it. There's no product left on my face in the morning, but if I do ever happen to have any, I just wipe it away when I cleanse.

Drink Up Intensive smells beautiful, it's by far my favourite smelling product I have ever used. It's a fruity, apricot, peachy scent that is absolutely mouthwateringly good. It actually reminds me of a delicious fruit smoothie.

This really is worth all the hype surrounding it and most definitely worth the £20 that it retails at.

I've been trying a few other face masks recently, and so will be sure to let you know my thoughts on them soon.

Have you tried Origins Drink Up Intensive? What are your thoughts?

GlamGlow Exfoliating Mud Mask

I saw this for sale online a while ago and the Glam name and packaging really stood out to me, other than that, I didn't really think anything else of it and kind of assumed it was a little bit of a Glam gimmick. After seeing a blog review pop up of it and then appearing on Feel Unique and ASOS, I decided to look a little more into it.
After tweeting about face masks in general, I was recommended this a couple of times and was very kindly sent a sample of GlamGlow* to try, and oh wow, forget gimmick- this mask is amazing!

Glam Glow is a Clay based mask that aims to give you soft, tightened, exfoliated and glowing skin with the bonus of minimising your pores and absorbing your impurities.
It all sounds pretty amazing and though I have only used this a few times now (I only have the 15ml tub) and haven't noticed any absolute miracle differences in my skin, it has definitely been so soft and has looked glowing for days after using it.
When I first used it, I had everyone in my house feeling my face. Even my boyfriend was super impressed! I couldn't get over how soft my skin was after just 10 minutes of using this on my face.

The mask itself contains antioxidants, purified clay and actual pieces of green tea leaf which is the big leaf that you can see stuck to my face, as well as so many other skin loving goodness.

This is applied all over your face and left for just 10 minutes to dry, get to work and crack!
You can almost immediately feel the tightness of the drying clay on your skin which personally, I love. There is quite a lot of tingling when using this product, but it is completely normal and helps to add to the glowing complexion you will be left with. I know some people don't like that sensation in a skin product, and if you don't then this certainly isn't for you.
It does dry quite hard and you can't actually move your face, but I think thats the fun of a clay mask! Especially the satisfaction when you do eventually move and it all starts to crack.

The exfoliation all comes into play when you are removing the mask. You simply use a little bit of water, in circular motions to remove the mask which is pretty easy, though do be gentle as you don't want to be exfoliated red raw!
Underneath, you will have super soft, exfoliated, glowing skin. It's a dream!

I really am so pleased with this product, I love the packaging, I love the process and I love the effects it has on my skin.
The price is a little excessive at £19.99 for the 15ml tub and £49.99 for the 50ml but if you are into clay masks and fancy a bit of pampering then this is a lovely little treat and definitely worth a try.

Have you tried GlamGlow? Are you a fan of clay masks?

xx
