L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Water

When it comes to Micellar Cleansers, theres an array of mixed opinions. Personally, I think used as a quick option to remove make up or for quick fix corrections, they're the perfect option and I always have one sat on my dressing table with a bunch of cotton buds, for those occasions where my red lip smudges or my eyeliner doesn't go quite to plan.

When Micellar Waters are mentioned, for me, Bioderma automatically springs to mind. I love Bioderma a lot, but with the sterling price tag being a little outrageous in comparison to to where it's from, France, I can't help but be a little bit put off with the price tag. That's where the likes of L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Water comes in handy; widely available, costing around the £5 mark and I think doing just as good a job as Bioderma does, I personally don't think you can go wrong.

L'Oreals Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Water has three offerings clearly marked on the packaging; Dissolving make up, unclogging pores and removing impurities and toning, but personally, I would only ever use this for the benefit of it dissolving make up, which it does a fantastic job at, and the thought of using it as anything more makes me shudder slightly.

Hypo-allergenic and suitable for the face, eyes and lips, two bottles in I've definitely been won over by L'Oreals Micellar Solution.

Available in Boots and Superdrug, L'Oreals Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Water costs £4.99 for 200ml.

What Micellar solutions have you tried? Which is your favourite?

Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream

I've recently found myself obsessing over hand creams a little more than usual and since being introduced to Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream* in particular, I have found myself reaching deep into my handbag very frequently throughout the day for a little application.

Nuxe Reve de Meil is a product that I have been keen to try since my boyfriend, yes my boyfriend, purchased the Lip Balm in Paris and I fell in love. It's a subtle, beautifully scented product that is made up of Honey, Sunflower, Oils and Vitamin E and leaves my hands feeling pleasantly smooth, soft and extremely moisturised.

I don't suffer with overly dry hands but for me, working on an aeroplane, the conditions are pretty drying and so anything that works to protect and nourish dry or damaged skin, usually works a treat for me.

In the past, I've often been put off by hand products that leave my skin feeling greasy to the touch and if I can't get on with daily tasks afterwards because of the product on my hands, I'm not a happy girl, but fortunately this Reve de Miel is really very lovely formula and sinks into my hands and nail area nice and quickly.

With compliments on the product from myself and the majority of my colleagues who often pinch a bit, I highly recommend this product if your hands are after a little bit of TLC.

Paraben-free and made with 89% natural ingredients, this Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream costs £10 for 75ml and is available to buy online as well as Space NK, Escentual, Feel Unique and most French pharmacies.

Have you tried this Nuxe hand cream? What's your go to handbag hand product?

Embryolisse Lait-Créme Concentré

Embryolisse was another of the products on my Paris shopping list and with it previously being recommended to me by the very lovely Pixiwoo girls for my skin, I decided that I must have it and I have been using it on and off since November time.

As you can see, I started using it before I got the chance to take a photo of it, which is the ultimate beauty blogger fail for me. I was super annoyed at myself and even contemplated not blogging about it because of this, but for those of you that may be interested in this moisturiser, I thought I would share my two cents on what was described to me by the French Phamacist, "the cream of the stars".

I think I was expecting some kind of moisturising miracle when I popped on my french accent to buy this behind the counter moisturiser, but unfortunately I'm really not completely sold on it. It is nice to use and applied on make up free days or in the evening it sinks in beautifully and leaves my skin feeling super moisturised and soft but I just don't love it as an everyday moisturiser, which is what I was primarily hoping I would benefit from. Underneath my make up, granted it does leave a very smooth base to work on but although it is quite a light consistency that sinks in nicely, but I tend to find I can still feel it and it almost makes my make up feel a little tacky? Despite its light appearance, Embryolisse is a rich nourishing cream which is made up of Emollient Oil, Shea Butter,  Beeswax and Aloe Vera.

I'm not sure this would be on my must have French pharmacy list again and although it is very nice plastered on of an evening for a nourishing treat, I'm not sure it was worth my frantic rush to find it and the €18 price tag.

Embryolisse is a massively raved about product in the beauty industry and although I'm not the biggest fan, I would absolutely love to know your thoughts on it?

Paris Trip Part Two | The City

Paris is such an incredibly beautiful city and although it homes all of the stereotypical french touches such as macaroons, moustaches and monuments, like I mentioned in Paris- Part One it's nothing like I expected it to be. It's so much more. Unlike other cities I have been to, though full of tourists, traffic, businessmen and street buskers, Paris seems relatively quiet and as you walk through the cobbled streets from one monument to another you can't help but just float and take in all of the picturesque scenes. There were a few moments during my few days there, where I just stopped to admire the architecture and culture. One moment that describes this perfectly, is when I stopped close to Concorde Square where as I stood surrounded by beautiful buildings and fountains, in full sight was Champs-Elyees, Arc de Triomphe, The Louvre and at a distance even The Eiffel Tower.

Whilst in a quaint family run cafe where we stopped off for a bite to eat at the beginning of our day, I mapped out a route which took us from Republique where we were staying in a lovely Boutique Hotel to La Fayette, Arc de Triomphe via Sephora, along Champs-Elyees to The Louve stopping by yet another Sephora, across Lovers Lock Bridge where we stopped off for a very lovely romantic moment and walk along the Seine River, leading over to the the grand Notre-Dame.
At this point we were both taken back by the hustle and bustle of St Germaine and after a little walk around we stopped off of dinner in a small French restaurant.
After a lovely dinner, despite the unfortunate rain we decided to hop onto the subway where a busker in a Beret played the Accordion, making the moment all very français whilst we made our way over The Eiffel Tower, which of course, was absolutely beautiful and once again incredibly overwhelming.

We visited Paris over four days; one day in Disneyland, one day sightseeing and wandering for a day either side. It was really wonderful and although my boyfriend is now slightly traumatised at how many Pharmacies he had to visit and how many skincare boxes he had to help me translate, it was a beautiful getaway that we shall never forget and a city that I'm secretly already planning another visit to.

Paris Trip Part One | Disneyland

This is a slightly different post for me, I've never blogged about any of my holidays as they're very personal to me and memories that I would kind of like to keep a little secret, but so many of you asked me about Paris and so I decided that I would share a few of my favourite snaps.

My boyfriend and I visited Paris for four days at the end of October into November. Paris is absolutely breathtaking and so picturesque. In hindsight, I'm not actually sure what I expected it be like, it certainly homes the beautiful architecture and cobble streets that I was expecting but it's not all Macaroons and outside cafes. It's in fact a very busy city, with so much going on and to fit everything perfectly we decided to visit Disneyland Paris on the second day, for Halloween.

I've never visited Paris, let alone my dream destination Disneyland. As much as I have always wanted to, I have always put it off in place of heading somewhere else which is crazy being that Paris is literally just a couple of hours away from London on the Eurostar. The twenty-something year wait was definitely well and truly worth it and was everything I could have hoped for and more. I know Disneyland won't be everyones thing, but having wanting to go there for so long I was totally overwhelmed, and maybe, just maybe even shed an overwhelmed tear or two!

Both Disneyland and The Disney Studios were full of incredible decorations and fantastic parades for Halloween. Disney definitely know how to go all out and there was not a single disappointment. The shop windows were designed for Christmas and everywhere I looked there was such joyous sights.

The highlight of Disneyland for me, amongst all of the lights, themed buildings, excited faces and delicate decorations was the Disney Dreams show. It was the nicest moment ever and again, I got completely overwhelmed. Disneyland quite literally is a dream come true and no matter how old or young you are, if you're in to all things dreamworld and fantasy, then I fully recommend that you take a trip there.

Continue to read all about the city here in Part Two.
