No7 High Shine Lip Crayon- Berry

Berry lips were a massive hit throughout Autumn/Winter just gone and although with the snowfall in the UK you may not quite believe that it is in fact Spring time now, it is, and a continuation of the Berry and Plum lip seems to be very much on-going and I find adds a perfect glamourous touch to so many looks.
Though I do prefer to wear lighter and brighter shades at this time of the year, I absolutely fell for this No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Berry* at the Boots Lets Give It A Go event I attended a couple of weeks ago now and just had to share it with you.

I wasn't aware of No7 launching Lip Crayons, but they have, in five fabulous shades and honestly, the formula is amazing. Berry is super pigmented and seems to carry the most subtle of shimmer, which on the lips plays off as a beautiful gloss. It applies so smoothly and with it offering the most incredible pigmentation, applies so effortlessly with such ease. I built up the colour on my lips with a fair few sweeps of the crayon but if you wanted more of a tint rather than a full on colour, it's definitely possible.
It has a twist function to extend the product as you need and I just wish this product was around back when I was wearing Berry lips daily.

I really love how soft and moisturising this feels on the lips and can't wait to get to a No7 counter to try out some of the other lighter, more Summery shades.

No7 High Shine Lip Crayons costs £9 and are available to buy now in Boots.

Revlon Colourburst Berry Lip Butters

I'm surprisingly new to Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters, but after so much hype surrounding them I couldn't wait to try them out in these three Berry shades.

Berry Smoothie*, Macaroon* and Raspberry Pie* are all super pigmented lip products that work like a lipstick would in that they give great colour to your lips but at the same time work very much like a lip balm being super creamy and super easy to work with, whilst leaving your lips soft and moisturised after application.

They have been extremely popular throughout this past year but with Berry shaded lips being very on trend this Autumn Winter, these three shades are more necessary than ever. Though I don't find moisturising products like this to last on the lips as well as a lipstick would, these are a dream as they do keep you moisturised and are fool proof when it comes to touching up, the colour fades very evenly and leaves ever slight a blushed tint to your lips leaving no real need to keep topping up anyway.

Swatched in the photos above, Berry Smoothie and Macaroon don't look too far apart from each other in terms of similarity, although in real life Berry Smoothie is ever so slightly more Mauve toned compared to the Pinkier hue of Macaroon. I've built these up a little, as I definitely prefer a more pigmented lip, but they can also be worn with just a quick application to give a little tint and as much as I hate to use this phrase, in doing so, they produce a pretty "your lip but better" shade.

Raspberry Pie is the true Berry in this trio and the lightest application has such great colour pay off. It's definitely the most pigmented of the three and is a Purple toned Raspberry shade. I must admit that the photo above isn't the greatest swatch and in different lights it can look darker and a lot less bright, but it is absolutely beautiful and I can see myself reaching for it lots in the coming Winter months.

These are available to buy in Boots and Superdrug where they cost £7.99, although if you fancy trying to win one of these super softening lip butters, visit the Sweet Boutique on Revlons Facebook page where as of today running until 4th December, Revlon are very kindly giving away 100 lip butters per day. Eek! Good luck!
