No7 BB Lips Blush Pink

So by now, I'm sure we've all heard of BB creams and although I've never been blown away with many of them, I was very intrigued when I saw that Boots were launching a Beauty Balm for lips- No7 BB Lips*.

No7 Beauty Balm for lips offers pigmentation, soothing nourishment and UV protection in the form of SPF15 and so although named as a Beauty Balm for lips, if I'm totally honest with myself, this pretty much offers what most lip balms do. In saying that, I come across a fair few lip balm products similar to this that I don't love and I love pretty much everything about this product in the shade Blush Pink.

My first impressions were that it kind of reminded me of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors. The only significant difference being that it's a darker shade (lighter and even more similar are available) and the fact that it doesn't have a spongey doe foot like applicator. Other than that, it applies pretty similarly and feels just as lovely, moisturising and light on the lips.

Offering a soft gloss from the balm qualities, alongside the pretty pigmentation of the Blush shade this looks really nice and subtle on the lips; nothing too over the top and a perfect day time shade.

I find it stays put on my lips nicely and although I do find myself topping up quite frequently, even just for the SPF15 factor, it isn't necessarily as even when it wears off, it does so nice and evenly which is great.

This No7 BB Lips is hypo-allergenic which makes it perfect for those with any sensitivity on their lips and although I think its BB status isn't too indifferent from a normal tinted balm, with the pretty range of six shades that No7 have to offer, I think they're definitely worth a look.

No7 BB Lips cost £8.50 and are available at No7 counters online and in Boots.

Do you like the look of this product? Does Pink Blush or any of the other shades look like something you would like in your make up bag?

No7 Stay Perfect in Gay Geranium

No7 Gay Geranium, MAC Watch Me Simmer, MAC Vegas Volt, MAC Morange

As of lately, I have been really impressed with No7 products, especially their lip ranges which seem to be continuously growing and following trends. Some really lovely dupes of higher end products seem to be popping up all the time and I personally can't get enough, especially of No7 Stay Perfect in Gay Geranium* which was picked out for me at the Boots Lets Give It A Go event and in all honestly, has very quickly made it's way to one of my most loved lipsticks.

On my initial swatch, this product immediately stood out to me to be similar to something that a MAC Amplified lipstick would be; creamy, super bright pigmentation, easy to apply and opaque. It reminded me of the MAC Watch Me Simmer, Vegas Volt and Morange family, which is why I thought I would include a swatch of all four. If you're into that kind of tone like I am, especially through the summer, its beautiful Orange Red tone will be absolutely perfect when the sun is beaming and I can't recommend No7 Gay Geranium enough.

Unlike MAC Amplified lipsticks, I do have to wear this over a balm as on its own it is a little too heavy and drying, which does sadden me a little. The colour seems to be a lot more vibrant applied on its own, which is how I would ideally wear it, but applied with a balm underneath it is still very lovely.
The pigmentation of this lipstick is pretty insane; the tiniest amount goes a very long way and is completely opaque which I love. I imagine it could actually be a little troublesome and messy if you go in to apply without knowing how pigmented it actually is. In terms of how long this lasts on the lips, as I said, worn alone I found it pretty drying so it needed a fair bit of attention, but with a balm it stays put a reasonable few hours without need of a touch up and continues to look nice and vibrant.

A little history surrounding this product that I found pretty interesting, is that when Boots was relaunched after WWII, Gay Geranium was launched into their Fifties Collection and is the only product that still exists in their line, similar to the story behind Revlons Fire & Ice, which is actually pretty similar in tone too. The Queen has also been known to be a fan of both No7 and specifically Gay Geranium, and quite frankly, if it's good enough for a royal..

No7 Stay Perfect in Gay Geranium costs £9.50 and is available online and at No7 Counters in Boots.

What do you think of this shade? Is a bright, vibrant and super pigmented lipstick something you enjoy to wear?

No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Delicate Pink

Having an influx of darker and bolder shades make their way into my collection recently, it's about time that I made space for a new pretty Pink and this No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Delicate Pink* is the perfect addition.

When I first became interested in lip products, this was one of my favourite kind of shades and I think it's an absolutely perfect colour for a pretty, feminine look all year round though in particular when the sun is shining. No7 High Shine Lip Crayons are pretty new products and since being introduced to the product in the intense shade Berry at a Boots event recently, I can't get enough.

Super pigmented and applying sheer yet buildable, the formula of these lip crayons is fantastic. They feel super balmy and keep my lips my feeling soft and moisturised which is lovely. Applying really easily and hassle free, I find these types of products are the perfect handbag products. Requiring no hard work with super easy maintenance, whether you're after a very subtle amount of colour or a bolder look to see you through the day, both are super achievable.

I'm really impressed with the No7 Lip Crayons and am in love with Delicate Pink, which I must admit on first impressions, I was expecting to be a little darker.

Available in five shades, these High Shine Lip Crayons cost £9 are available at No7 counters in Boots now.

No7 High Shine Lip Crayon- Berry

Berry lips were a massive hit throughout Autumn/Winter just gone and although with the snowfall in the UK you may not quite believe that it is in fact Spring time now, it is, and a continuation of the Berry and Plum lip seems to be very much on-going and I find adds a perfect glamourous touch to so many looks.
Though I do prefer to wear lighter and brighter shades at this time of the year, I absolutely fell for this No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Berry* at the Boots Lets Give It A Go event I attended a couple of weeks ago now and just had to share it with you.

I wasn't aware of No7 launching Lip Crayons, but they have, in five fabulous shades and honestly, the formula is amazing. Berry is super pigmented and seems to carry the most subtle of shimmer, which on the lips plays off as a beautiful gloss. It applies so smoothly and with it offering the most incredible pigmentation, applies so effortlessly with such ease. I built up the colour on my lips with a fair few sweeps of the crayon but if you wanted more of a tint rather than a full on colour, it's definitely possible.
It has a twist function to extend the product as you need and I just wish this product was around back when I was wearing Berry lips daily.

I really love how soft and moisturising this feels on the lips and can't wait to get to a No7 counter to try out some of the other lighter, more Summery shades.

No7 High Shine Lip Crayons costs £9 and are available to buy now in Boots.

No7 Sheer Temptation- Showy

I used to love nothing more than a full-on bright Pink lipstick, and honestly, previous to this one, I couldn't tell you when I last reached for one, but something about this extremely bright No7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick in Showy* caught my eye and for the last couple of evenings it has been my go-to.

I often browse the No7 counter on my frequent trips to Boots, but surprisingly, this super bright Pink balm like lipstick has never stood out to me, which really is pretty unbelievable as in the tube, it is so bright.

It's incredibly sheer but on application can be built up to more of intense pigmented shade with no feel of a heavy amount of product on the lip which I love. It applies like a creamy dream and as it pretty much a heavily tinted balm, it feels so nice, smooth and moisturising on the lips.

Unless I'm having a really fancy Red or Plum lip day, Peach or Nude is as far as I normally tend to go day to day now. I now tend to stick to quite matte shades with opaque finishes so this lipstick is a little bit different, but I love it. It's definitely something I would have gone for a few years ago and it's got me thinking that I should maybe visit some lipsticks from a little further back in my collection and experiment a little.

This Sheer Temptation lipstick costs £9.50 and is available online and on the No7 counter in Boots.

I'm really keen to try some other shades in this range as surprisingly to me, I really love the formula.

What do you think of Showy? Has your choice of lipstick colour changed over time?

What I'm Wearing

MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC30
Benefit Boing 02*
Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Universal
Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Sable Beige*
Illamasqua Lover
HD Brow Palette- Rich Brown
NYX Frou Frou- Black*
No7 Perfect Lips- Fire
L'Oreal Red Passion

Tonight I went to the Ice Tank Studios for the launch of Total Hair Experts hair tools. It was quite the celebrity hang out, with girls including Millie Mackintosh and Louise Thompson all sipping Champagne amongst us. I got the chance to have a little talk with Millie, and I can confirm that she is as beautiful as she looks on tv and has a fantastic personality to match. We got talking about her new lash range, and she recommended the Mayfair ones for me so I'm going to have to pick up a pair to try.
The Total Hair Experts range consists of hair straighteners, hair dryers and tongs to name just a few and will be available to buy in Tescos.

I opted for a Red lip for the occasion to brighten my mood up slightly. I have been so busy this week with work and blogging stuff and so thought it would pick me up a little, which it certainly did.
There is something about wearing a bright lip to change your mood. Sounds very silly, but I find it works.

I've managed to get my hands on some amazing new products this week, including Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel in Sable Beige which I'm wearing above. I can't wait to share it with you, it's seriously the most amazing compact I have ever seen!

Tomorrow is the Cosmo Blog Awards and I am so excited for it. There is so many blogs nominated that I love so much, so it will be great to see some friendly faces and meet some new bloggers.

No7 Perfect Lips Pencil- Fire

I picked this up a while ago now with my £5 No7 Voucher as I was on the hunt for a Red liner that had the ability to also be worn alone like a lipstick.

It's called Fire and it's quite a deep toned Red.
In terms of application, for both a liner and a full lip, it isn't great. It isn't the creamiest nor the smoothest for application but it does stick around on the lips for a fantastically long length of time, keeping my lipstick in place and staying on my lips as a full lip colour for ages without coming off, smudging or drying.

I wore it on my birthday in this post and I only touched it up once throughout the whole day, which is an absolute win in my opinion.

It comes with a little sharpener in the end to keep the tip lovely and pointed for precise application and I think thats a lovely touch to what would normally be a pretty standard product.

This costs just £7.50, though with my voucher I only spent £2.50 which is fabulous.

Whats your favourite Red lip liner? Do you think it works well all over on the lip?

What I'm Wearing- My Birthday Face

MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC30
Nars Laguna
MAC Melba
Benefit They're Real!
HD Brow Palette Rich Brown
No7 Perfect Lip Pencil Fire

It's my 24th birthday! Well, it was yesterday but I'm going to try and milk it and celebrate all weekend.

I don't know why, but I've just noticed that for my last few birthdays/celebrations, I've ended up with a Red lip. There is no real reasoning behind this at all, maybe just the fact that I find it fun choice and I'm in an extra excited, good mood!

I really had such a fantastic day and got so super spoilt. I spend the day with my mum in Brighton, we went for some lunch and did some junk shop shopping, which is one of my favourite things to do. I put quite a few photos up on my Instagram of my day if you're interested in seeing any!
I'm actually going out out next weekend when all of my friends are about, so I spent last night at the midnight screening of Batman- The Dark Knight Rises. Not how I normally choose to spend my birthday but my boyfriend and I really wanted to see it, so why not!

Thank you so much for all of your lovely birthday tweets, they really made my day. You're all far too kind.

If you're in the UK like me, then I'm sure you're as happy as I am that the sun is finally out, yay! I hope like me, you have a great weekend and find some time to soak up all of them rays.

A few little make up treats..

Hi dollies,
Today I popped to the shops with my mum because I was desperate for some new unmixed (see previous post) foundation. After popping into MAC, I took the obligatory trip to Boots and Superdrug.
I got some bargains!

Have you ever seen the FAMOUS by Sue Moxley range in Superdrug? To be honest, I tend to pass it by most times. It all seemed pretty over the top and I hadn't ever read anything about it.
This time was slightly different- probably due to the 50% off everything sign posted above the counter. Hello!

I looked through it and to be fair, they had lots of lovely shades and products.
It's really easy to get carried away when theres discounts involved so I decided to stick to three products.
FAMOUS Shade 3- Be mine (left)
FAMOUS Shade 7- Heather (right)
These were half price at just £2 each, which I think is fabulous. The colours are really pretty and have just the right amount of pigment to them, in that they are also really buildable.

Heather
Be mine
Top- Heather, Bottom- Be mine

I then picked up this Baked Bronze Bronze Pot in the shade Bali.
I especially love this because the inside of the lid is a mirror- double points!!
This was half price at £3
I finally managed to get a Bourjois Delice de Soleil Bronzing Powder in Boots, I've heard so many people rave about this and finally gave in. This cost £8.99
and finally..

The £5 Boots vouchers are back again- yay!
I got my usual 4 in 1 wipes, as I am now a hot cloth cleanser convert I don't use these every day, however I like to keep these in my work bag for unplanned night stops.
I also picked up what I thought was a replacement eyebrow pencil, but is in actual fact an eye liner- fail!

I hope you're all fabulous.

What I'm wearing.. Naked!

I was having a little discussion last night about what make up suits me and what I enjoy using the most. I'm really not very much of an eye make up girl, which I have said lots and so today I decided to have a little bit of a play with my Naked Palette.
My camera hasn't picked it up very well and has picked a random bit up in the picture below..but not one for touching up photos- especially FOTD's, I decided to post it anyway.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC35
Collection 2000 Lasting Finish Concealer
Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Bronzing Powder
Fake Bake Sunburn Blush
No7 Brown/Black Eye Pencil
L'Oreal Architect 4D- Black
L'Oreal Super Liner- Carbon Black
Urban Decay Naked Palette- Naked, Buck, Darkhorse, Hustle
On my lips I just have Carmex with a bit of foundation underneath that was accidently brushed onto them as I was a little messy today..whoops!

My hair has just been washed, whilst it was wet I sprayed it with Umberto Giannini Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray which I forgot I had- it gave me amazing volume and I love it.

I'm still not overly loving eye make up on me, but I am enjoying it for today.

I hope your well sweethearts xx
