Ojon Full Detox Spray

Last year Ojon products were a firm favourite of mine in terms of their Shampoo and Conditioners and so I was extremely excited about this Ojon Full Detox* spray and was hoping that it would be a go to for me for those days where the thought of washing my hair just seems like a nightmare. I'm hoping I'm not alone, but sometimes the thought of having to go through the process of washing my hair is just awful and so to have a cleansing spray or a dry shampoo as they're more commonly known as to reach for, give a few sprays at the roots and go is a dream.

This Ojon Full Detox is a higher end dry shampoo, with Pure Ojon Oil and purifying ingredient Soap Bark Tree Extract that works to clean, refresh and revive without water.

In terms of doing a good job, this is a wonderful product and it really is up there with the best dry shampoos I have tried; it doesn't leave any White talc-like powder residue in my hair and it doesn't leave my roots feeling sticky or too built up. It certainly leaves my hair looking a lot fresher than it did before, whilst adding a little bit of volume too, but unfortunately the scent of this product really isn't for me. The scent of a product really can be a decision maker for me and the smell of what I think must be the Bark Tree Extract is far too overbearing for my taste and although I can cope with it for a quick spray, I'm much happier to pick up a cheaper alternative that I might have to be a little more careful with, but smells delightful.

If you're into more natural, woody, smokier scents and I know some people are, then this is totally for you. It is a very good dry shampoo and really does offer great results but personally the smell is a little off-putting for me.

This 185ml spray costs £18 and is available from Ojon online, John Lewis, Boots and House of Fraser.

Have you tried this product? I would love to know your thoughts.

Origins & Ojon Christmas Offerings

At the beginning of last week I was invited over to St Martins Lane Hotel to sip on Champagne whilst being taken through the products that both Origins and Ojon have to offer this festive season.

This year, both Origins and Ojon have been favourite brands of mine and their products have very much become go-to essentials for me.
I particularly love Origins Face Masks and am the biggest fan of Ojons Volume Advance Hair Care, but this Christmas some very special products are available and they are already going down a treat and appearing on both mine and many of my friends Christmas lists.

Some special offerings Origins have this year, are their Christmas Crackers and Christmas Baubles, which are both full of fabulous sample sized best selling products and decorated so beautifully and festive. I know first hand how popular these are, especially the Baubles because so many of my friends have been picking them up for Chritsmas Treats. They are both exclusive to Selfridges and available online here.
Origins also have some beautiful Ginger scented products available that smell delicious, I'm not usually very fond of the smell of Ginger but there is something about it that is just incredible, the smell fills the room and it's just a cosy delight. These products are also available in a range of gift sets and available from Origins here

In terms of Ojon, since trying the Ojon hair care and absolutely raving about it I have often been asked whether they sell sample size bottles many a time, and this year they have some fantastic products available, all sold together in sets for really reasonable prices.
Volume Advance is by far my favourite range and fortunately there is a great gift idea available, The Volume Advance Revive and Refresh set, which is pictured above, costs just £20 and contains;
Volume Advance Volumizing Shampoo 60ml
Volume Advance Volumizing Conditioner 60ml
Full Detox Rub Out Dry Cleansing Spray 83ml

I'm sure all both Origins and Ojon products will be gracing many stockings this year, do you hope to open any of these gifts this coming Christmas day?

Ojon Rare Blend Oil Total Hair Therapy

This beautiful little bottle of Ojon Rare Blend Oil* found its place centre stage in amongst my hair products very little over a month ago. Since then, every time I wash my hair and sometimes between washes I smooth a little of this through the ends of my hair for the ultimate treat.

This product not only looks amazing with the three layers of eye catching oils sat on top of each other as Amber, Crystal and Red, but it also has an extremely great concept using both rare natural oils as well as the pure reparative Ojon Oil  to boost moisture, nourish to repair, tame any frizz, prevent heat damage and reveal a wonderful shine with a shake to blend feature, which blends the oils together to work on your hair at it's full potential.

Like I said, I have been using this for a month now and I really love it. I have used quite a few oils including Morrocan Oil and a few different brands of Argan and although they all are quite similar in what they offer and how they feel on the hair this one and Morrocan are probably my favourite though this Ojon Oil takes top prize with the slightly sweet scent and beautiful packaging winning me over.

The rare blend oil is made up of Ojon Oil, Roughe Oleifera, Tahitan Monoi Oil, Jukui Oil, Marula Oil, Ximenia Oil and Kalahari Desert Oil. I'm not going to pretend that I know of all of these oils, let alone what they do, but what I do know is worked together in this Total Hair Therapy, my hair is left feeling incredibly smooth and soft to the touch and if the absolute right amount of product is used (absolutely minimal) my hair doesn't look to have any trace of oil but just a subtle lovely shine. I don't use this any where near my roots, which is where most of my frizz sits but this definitely seals any horrible ends I have and keeps them under control.

The bottle is quite small at 45ml and although I love how it looks, the fact that it doesn't have a pump is slightly irritating. I would prefer one as when I'm in a rush or not concentrating, I often pour too much product into my hands. However annoying I find that, it doesn't take away from how much I enjoy this product.

Ojon Rare Blend Oil is available at Boots, John Lewis and Fenwicks as well as Ojon online and costs £29.

Ojon Super Sleek Shampoo & Conditioner

Recently I have found myself quite content with having my hair straighter and centre parted with no real style or much effort needed. It makes a change from my usual love of absolute volume and backcombing and honestly, it's quite refreshing to have simple hair that when I go out it doesn't need major retouching and a simple brush does the job.

I find that to get easy, manageable hair like this it's all in the product and I have been reaching for the Ojon Super Sleek Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner*.

The products are aimed to smooth your hair through, control frizz and any fly-aways you have and leave it sleek, smooth, shiny and all in all more manageable in both normal and more humid conditions.
I normally put the way my hair ends up after a blow dry down to the serums, the sprays and the mousses but when using these products, it's been because I'm going for a "less is more" look and I am so impressed with how well they work on there own.

I have found myself only using one a small amount of this each time, which is all thats necessary. A 50p coin size of product lathered into my hair is more than enough for a good clean and with the fresh scent, my hair is left feeling and smelling great.
Conditioners aren't really my thing but they are important, so I use a small amount of this through the ends and rinse off almost immediately, rather than the recommended one minute. Although these products work at making your hair more smooth and control your fly-away bits, my hair is super fine and I don't ever want to risk it really being too soft. The product on my hair does a fine job though and so personally I don't think I need to leave it on any longer.
I often find some conditioners really weigh my hair down but this doesn't in the slightest and after blow drying, my hair oozes with shine and feels so light, sleek and smooth.

My hair really does look so healthy after using this and I put it down to the ingredients Ojon have chosen to use and the fact that these products are sulphate free. I don't ever really look into the ingredients of products and tend to just pay attention to the effects but sulphates pretty much strip your hair of any goodness, natural oils and moisture leaving it drier than normal- which for me would really not be a good thing!

I've mentioned a few times that my scalp has been a little dry recently, but I have noticed that it hasn't been that bad and has been stayed calm when I've been using these which is great.

I'm finding Ojon products to be my favourites at the moment, I'm so sad I hadn't tried them sooner. For days when I do want bigger hair I'm still finding the Ojon Volumising range that I blogged about here to be my go to products.

These two products are available here on the Ojon website and cost £20 for the Shampoo and £21.50 for the Conditioner.

Do you long after soft and sleek hair? Have you tried any of the Ojon ranges?

Ojon Volume Advance

As you may be aware, time and time again I have posted about my search for the best hair products to give me the biggest hair possible and although I have been satisfied by the majority of products, I hadn't tried one that was an all round winner- until now.

I wanted to try Ojon for quite a while now, but I have had so many hair products in the pipe line to try, I couldn't really justify it. I am so upset that it has taken until now to go through trial and error with a bunch of products to find these. *Huge statement alert* Currently, these are my favourite products I own and possibly the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever tried.

Ojon Volume Advance Shampoo and Conditioner* both work to give your hair super volume and body without filling your hair with weight, making it heavy and weighing it down. They are full of goodness including their key ingredients- Ojon Oil and Peruvian Amaranth which is a protein for the hair that helps to seal the cuticles and follicles, give amazing shine, fullness and flexibility.

One of the ingredients that I personally love is the Lemongrass Extract, which I'm sure is what gives these products the beautiful scent. It's my favourite fresh smelling scent and when lathered into the hair it's like a dream. Very herbal, which isn't what I normally go for, but the lemongrass wins me over.

Normally, I wash my hair twice through to make sure its completely clean, but I don't feel it's completely necessary to with this. One small amount of shampoo really does clean my hair throughly and leaves it super soft and huge. I say in most of my hair product reviews, that I'm not so much a conditioner girl as if it's not a conditioning treatment, it usually leaves my hair either too heavy or the complete opposite and far too fly away. This actually leaves a great in-between and doesn't take away any of the volume that the shampoo helps to give my hair.
My hair looks and feels so much bigger and fuller and is so super soft with no weight to it which means with so much body, it just falls really nicely with lots of flexibility.

I've backed off the GHD's for the meantime and I really like how my hair is looking with just a blow dry and rollers. After using these two products along with rollers, my hair is left with a soft wave and the most amazing volume. To boof it up through the day, I don't even find that I'm needing any product and my hands rummaged through the roots works a fine treat.

I really can't rave about these products enough and although they do cost slightly more than most shampoos and conditioners I have tried at £18.00 and £19.50 for 250ml, they are in my opinion completely worth it and I am going to make a repurchase for when these eventually run out.

Have you tried anything from the Ojon range? Whats your all time favourite volumizing product?

xx
