DKNY Delicious Delights

I've always been a fan of the sweeter things in life and fragrance is certainly no exception. In my opinion, the sweeter and fruitier the better and that's why I'm currently in love with the new DKNY Delicious Delights Eau de Toilettes.

I've been a fan of many of the previous Be Delicious scents and I know first hand from selling so many on board my flights, that so many girls are with me on this. There's something delightfully addictive about them and as if they couldn't get better, DKNY introduce Sorbet inspired scents- dreamy!

Fruity Rooty, Cool Swirl and Dreamsicle are the three new launches and they're each beautiful in their own right. Sweet and soft yet incredibly refreshing, they all offer different notes that offer a twist on the original scent.

Fruity Rooty opens with a blend of Blackberry, Blueberry and Mandarin and follows with a heart of Rose, Violet and Candied Apple Sorbet. With a base of Lily and Vanilla, this adds ever such a subtle floral tone which surprisingly compliments the scent extremely well.

Cool Swirl opens with top notes of Blackcurrant, Violet Leaves and Coconut Water and is followed by a heart of Magnolia, Jasmine and Pistachio Sorbet. With a base of Heliotrope, Musk and Patchouli, this is the the one that as a sorbet inspired fragrance, I didn't think I would like as much, but actually, it's really soft and very lovely.

Last but certainly not least, Dreamsicle has top notes of Mandarin, Raspberry and Blackcurrant and follows with a heart of Green Apple, Peach Nectar and Apricot Sorbet. Those notes totally steal my heart and with base notes of Cedarwood, Sandalwood and Vanilla, what's not to love? It's sweet but not too sickly and I can see myself wearing this a lot, particularly throughout the Summer months.

Launching in March, these 50ml bottles will cost £37.00 each.

I'd love to know whether you're a fan of DKNY Delicious fragrances, are you looking forward to the launch of Delicious Delights?

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Special Edition

Back in February I attended a launch for the Nicki Minaj Pink Friday launch and posted about the fragrance which since, I have continued to enjoy wearing. It's a beautifully sweet, fruity scent and although I'm still not keen on the pretty hefty bottle, transferred into an atomiser, I have found it the perfect fragrance and a go-to for me thus far.

Following the high success surrounding the original Pink Friday Nicki Minaj fragrance, Nicki wanted to create a special edition, so used her fascination with changing her look to create another unique collectible bottle with a little bit of extra playfulness to the original scent.

Top Notes- The fragrance opens with a burst of succulent Grapefruit, juicy Apple and White Raspberry.
Heart- The heart leaps and blossoms as hints of water lily and honeysuckle dance with a whisper of star jasmine petals.
Base- The rich creaminess of caramelised Pear and sheer musk in the dry down radiate with sensual femininity.

Though very much along the same lines as the original fragrance, I would say this definitely has a slighter more floral note to it, though the sweetness definitely makes it's way through.

Very pleasant and in a what I think is a much more of simple and nicer bottle; this frosted glass, White wig mini Nicki costs £24 for a 30ml Eau de Toilette and is available to buy in The Perfume Shop.

What do you think of this special edition? Are you a fan of the original? I would love to know your thoughts.

Nude by Rihanna

I feel like this year, I've really become accustomed to trying new fragrances and have branched out from my what some may call, a stuck in a rut perfume collection. Whilst trying a fair few new fragrances, celebrity ones have popped up a few times and although I have always been quick to say I'm not too much of a celebrity fragrance girl, I think over the past couple of years they have really upped their game and in terms of scent, are on par with so many premium fragrances that I have tried.

My latest celebrity fragrance to make it's way into my collection is Nude by Rihanna, the third fragrance from the, in my opinion, very fabulous multi-platinum artist. Following her two best selling past fragrances, Rihanna wanted to create something a little more subtle and something that created a little more of a stripped down essence.

With top notes containing Guava Nectar, Mandarin and Pear with a centre of Orange Blossom, Gardenia Petals and Velvet Jasmine Sambac the base follows with a richer tone, with notes of Sandalwood, Second skin Musk and Vanilla Orchid.

If I'm completely honest, it's not my favourite scent for the moment but it is very pleasant and I think it is certainly a fragrance that can be worn both day and night. Being quite subtle, I think it's possibly aimed towards a younger audience, but then I think most celebrity fragrances are.

Inspired by a stiletto heel, Rihanna wanted to create a bottle that suited her daring nature, with a feminine edge so chose to keep the packaging pretty simple with more edgy finishing touches like the twisted matte ribbon layer effect. The shape of the bottle makes it more of a dressing table bottle, but if you wanted to top up throughout the day, you could always pop some into a Travalo Atomiser, which is what I tend to do with most of my fragrances.

The Nude by Rihanna fragrance collection is available to buy now in Boots and The Perfume Shop as well as other leading retailers costing £37.50 Nude by Rihanna 100ml Eau de Parfum Spray/ £30 Nude by Rihanna 50ml Eau de Parfum Spray/ £20 Nude by Rihanna 30ml Eau de Parfum Spray.

What do you think of celebrity fragrances? Does Nude by Rihanna sound like it would fit into your perfume collection?

Thierry Mugler Alien Radiant Body Cream

When it comes to perfumed body creams and matching my lotions to my fragrance, I've never really been blown away and there has only ever been a couple of stand out ones, that have usually been a secondary part of a gift set or something similar. In saying that, Thierry Mugler have created four indulgent body moisturisers, following four of their iconic fragrance lines; Angel, Alien, Womanity as well as an Alien Body Balm and I must say that the Alien Radiant Body Cream* is a definite stand out lotion for me that I have been reaching for daily seen receiving it.

Packaged in a weighty glass bottle and following the same design as the fragrance itself, Alien Radiant Body Cream is a pleasure to use and smells exactly the same as the perfume, making it a perfect and luxurious product to wear both alone and to layer with the fragrance, to make the scent a little more long lasting.

It appears quite thick and rich looking inside the tub, but is actually extremely light and absorbs into the skin beautifully well, with the Camellia Oil working to moisturise and soften whilst also giving your skin a radiance and illuminating effect, with the ever so subtle shimmering pure gold particles that run throughout.
The shimmer really is ever so subtle, perfect for a girl like me who often fears looking like a glitter ball at the slightest mention of shimmer, and I find it is the perfect body cream particularly for a summer evening out.

I'm really impressed with this lotion and find it's the perfect moisturising option to keep your scent lingering throughout the day.

Smelling of the distinctive Alien with rich floral, Amber and Woody notes, this 200ml body cream costs £44 and is available to buy now in available in House of Fraser and John Lewis.

What do you think of perfumed body creams? Are you a fan of Thierry Mugler? Will you be trying Alien, Angel or Womanity?

As cliche as it sounds, when I wake up, my mood for the day ahead is often determined by the weather  or the brightness around me and normally follows the rule, the brighter the better, which is why I recently decided to change my bedroom decor to bright White in order to help start my day happy and fresh minded.
In an ideal world, right now I can think of nothing more picturesque that waking up in the morning to a bright, clear Blue sky on the coast of a serene looking White washed island such as Santorini with only the sounds of a calm breeze, peaceful sea and a familiar voice of a loved one to be heard. The beachy scent of the morning waves and the intensifying heat as the day comes to a start would instantly start my day of inspired and energised with a clear mind set.

Thierry Mugler Alien Aqua Chic Eau De Toilette

As much as I have always wanted to be, I have never really been a perfume girl. I have my scents that I like and honestly, I tend to stick to them. I'm more often than not too busy swatching lipsticks in the beauty halls, whilst my friends are looking at the new releases in fragrance and I only ever get perfume for birthdays and Christmas, which tend to last me quite a while. Recently however, I have had my eyes opened to the world of some really lovely fragrances, including this limited edition Thierry Mugler Alien Aqua Chic* which is a variation of the classic Alien, and I love it.

Alien Aqua Chic is new to Thierry Mugler and being made up of notes that I adore singly, is an ideal fragrance for me; Orange Blossom, Lemon Blossom and Pink Grapefruit are at the heart of this eau de toilette and together they create the nicest, sweet and fruity, extremely refreshing scent which gently mixes with Aliens classic Wooden and Amber base notes and I can't get enough.

The bottle design is made up of Silver, Lilac and Gold tones and I personally think it is a much prettier take of the classic Alien. This is the 60ml size and I find it to be the perfect sized bottle to carry around with me, not being too weighty or clumpy, like I find quite a few fragrance bottles to be.

This limited edition Thierry Mugler Alien Aqua Chic Eau De Toilette in 60ml costs £40 and is available to buy in SelfridgesHouse of Fraser and Debenhams.

Are you a fan of Alien? Have you tried Alien Aqua Chic?

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Fragrance Launch

This morning I was up at the crack of dawn, ready to head over to Selfridges where I was invited for a Pink Friday Breakfast before the store opened, all in the name of the new fragrance launch from Nicki Minaj- Pink Friday and the limited edition collection of handmade couture, which is has been designed for what else than to dress up your bottle.

It was an extremely Pink morning and a lovely start to the end of the week, taking place in a very empty and insanely fresh looking beauty hall with Macaroons and Croissants on tap along along with Pink themed juices flowing.

I'm not always too keen on celebrity fragrances and often find them to be slightly hit and miss, but I'm so pleased to report back that despite the ever so slightly over the top bottle, which I guess is only right having been designed with the input of the lady herself, the fragrance is really very lovely and went down really well with all of the beauty bloggers that attended, as well as the Nicki Minaj fans, or Barbz as they are also known, who were queued outside of the store since the evening before to secure their Limited Edition Couture bottle.

Pink Friday is an extremely sweet and fruity fragrance which is actually slightly reminiscent of a Juicy Couture perfume and has varied notes of Starfruit, Mandarin and Caramelised Pear throughout with slightly more floral notes such as Jasmine and Lotus Flower with Vanilla and Musks.

The bottle, as you can probably tell, is a statuesque bottle of Nicki Minaj herself and whilst it's pretty sturdy, it's also very weighty, making it more of a dressing table perfume than a handbag one. The bottle pictured above, is the 100ml deluxe size which has been designed with a very Minaj necklace around the neck, although the standard statue bottle is also available in 50ml and 30ml.

The handmade Couture by Minaj designs are available with the first 100 bottles of the 100ml Eau de Parfums purchased in Selfridges, with different designs being released both today and tomorrow with two more coming soon!

Pink Friday is available as of today in Selfridges and costs £24- 30ml, £29- 50ml and £39 for 100ml.

What do you think of Pink Friday? What notes do you look for in a scent?

GLAM by Kim Kardashian

I'm not really one for celebrity fragrances, but when it comes to Kim Kardashians range, I have always been pretty impressed. I promise the fact that I'm a huge fan doesn't make my opinion biased, I really do like them and get so many compliments when I have a few sprays of them on; whether it be her self named signature scent, True Reflection* or this pretty smelling perfume, Glam*.

Kim Kardashian is a huge perfume fan and she wanted to put together a fragrance that captivated confidence, strength and of course Glamour, that would be the perfect scent to wear for both day and night.

With notes of Pink Watermelon, Blackberries and Citrus sitting on top, the heart of the fragrance is made up of notes such as Star Jasmine, Egyptian Tuberose and Rose Absolute with the final lingering notes of Orris Butter as well as Musk and Sandalwood, which seem to run throughout all of Kims fragrances. I currently find it quite an addictive scent, as I find it really reminiscent of a perfume I have had in the past but can't quite put my finger on. It's more similar to her original fragrance than True Reflection and I think it has the perfect blend of floral and fruity.

Though I do like the bright Pink bottle, the rhinestones on the bottle aren't really my style, however, if you're into glitz, glamour and sparkle then this is certainly one for you.

Glam Eau de Parfum is available to buy in Debenhams costing £29.95 for 50ml and £39.95 for 100ml, although for a Valentines Day promotion, they are currently selling this 30ml bottle for just £12.39 which I think is super reasonable.

Have you tried any of Kim Kardashians fragrances?

See here and here for when I was lucky enough to meet Kim Kardashian at her previous fragrance launches.

JLS Love Fragrance Launch

Following the success of their previous fragrance and with Valentines Day just around the corner, JLS have released their second perfume, Love, and I was lucky enough to have been invited down to One Mayfair to the launch for a Q&A session with the boys, a few drinks and the chance to mingle in amongst some rather fabulous people whilst they performed a DJ set.

With the aim to get hearts racing, this fragrance that has been created by JLS, along with the help of perfume designer Azzi Glasser includes notes of Pink Orchid, Orange Blossom and Vanilla Pod and though I've said before, I'm not the biggest celebrity fragrance fan, this has been compared to Viktor and Rolfs Flowerbomb, which is one of my all time favourite perfumes.

Top Notes- Sicilian Bergamot and White Tea
Heart Notes- Strong Floral Note of Pink Orchid, Rose de Mai, Egyptian Jasmine and Orange Blossom
Base Notes- Creamy Musk, Vanilla Pod and dry Cedar Wood settling on the skin.

Though very similar to the previous JLS Fragrance Kiss' bottle, Love comes in a Bright Pink bottle to match its Pink 'Love' exterior and is available to buy now at the Fragrance Shop, The Perfume Shop and Boots costing £14 for 30ml, £20 for 60ml and £29 and 100ml.

Is love in the air for you with this JLS Fragrance?

Boss Nuit Pour Femme

Boss Nuit Pour Femme is the new and sophisticated fragrance release for women created by Boss to compliment your little black dress and give you the perfect finishing touch to start your night.

As an ambassador and a true believer in what Boss offer, Gwyneth Paltrow has become the new face for Boss Nuit Pour Femme, bringing her successful, confident, feminine and of course sophisticated touch to the Boss campaign.

"I was so honored and very happy to be chosen as the face of Boss Nuit Por Femme. To me, the Boss woman is driven, ambitious, and goes after what she wants,  but she balances being strong and very feminine at the same time- characterics that I strive towards in my own life." Gwyneth Paltrow.

The perfumer tried to capture the anticipation of the night ahead through the top, heart and base notes of the fragrance.

Top Notes- The juiciness of White Peach combined with the thrilling radiance of the wet aldehylic accord gives a fresh and sparkling effect in the scent.

Heart Accord- Underneath the fresh and sparkling top note, lays more sophisticated notes of Jasmine and a White flower bouquet along with a touch of violet to add a sensual softness.

Base Notes- The base of the fragrance is laced with a more seductive edge that grows as your evening unfolds. It has vibrant Crystal moss to echo the dazzling characters of the top notes along with warm woods and creamy sandalwood to bring a more soft and gentle quality to the scent.

"For me, Boss Nuit pour Femme is a very sensual, feminine perfume. It's the perfect night time perfume because it's very alluring but very elegant at the same time."  Gwyneth Paltrow

The bottle itself has been designed to emulate the look of a little Black dress, similar to of which is worn by Gwyneth Paltrow in the ads (this dress is available in Hugo Boss stores)- very sleek, elegant and classic looking. The Only Way is Essex- Fragrance and Beauty Launch

Last night saw the launch of The Only Way is Essex new fragrances and an insight into the beauty sets that will be around this coming festive season- I know, festive, it's July!

It took place in the lovely Soho Sanctum Hotel, where we were greeted with some delicious drinks and given a presentation and the opportunity for photos with Arg and Sam Friars, who I must say, looked absolutely stunning.

Last year two fragrances were launched in the TOWIE collection, Dazzle and Be Reem, and following the huge success that they had, are two new fragrances to add to the range- Love Addict for the ladies and Platinum VIP for the gents.

Whereas the last ladies fragrance was quite sweet, love addict is described by Sam as "wooden, oriental" with notes of lemon and raisin on a floral heart to "keep the passion alive".
Though it's for men, Platinum VIP is more my cup of tea when it comes to the notes and carries bright citrus notes of lemon, mandarine and pepper.

These fragrances are both available now from The Fragrance Shop and Boots.

If you're anything like me, then you will love a gift set at Christmas time and this year in Boots, Superdrug, Argos and even Primark you will dazzled with 13 TOWIE Beauty Sets that cover all bases for the perfect night out. Whether it's eyes or lips you're into, they've got it all.
The range contains Bronzers, Baked Eye Palettes, Eyeliners, Nail polishes, Lip glosses and complete Cosmetic collections containing everything you need and oh, of course, sets of False eyelashes all ranging from just £4.99 to £14.99.

Are you dazzled by these products? Would you glam up with them, Essex style, for a night out on the town?

xx
